This family wanted to get rid of a rotting deck and build something appropriate for the neighborhood and large gatherings. W created the design with virtually exact depictions prior to construction. The deck was built with pressure-treated wood then backer board and slate for the flooring. The rails are wrought iron with stone columns. The facing is stucco and the ceiling underneath is beadboard. The concrete floor was redone with a stamped edge. It became quite a place to entertain and a great space underneath for the kids to play.
